Scenario
- Meeting Engagement - Hollandia forces invade Flandria.
Operations area
- Left Upper Limit = Axelse Vlakte (North of Ghent - Belgium)
- Right Bottom Limit = Hamme (South of Sint Niklaas - Belgium)
Common Objective for both sides
- Identify all opposing Units
Timing
- Maximum duration of the operation 24 hours
- Start of Operations 20 June 2010 at 0600
- Wednesday 1 Jul 10 is foreseen as a training/introduction session
- Starting time is 2000 CET
- Duration +/- 2 hours
- Thursday 2 Jul is foreseen as Sim2War run
- Starting time is 1930 CET
- Duration +/- 3.5 hours
- Time multiplier (ie make things go faster)
- first hour = x1
- then 1/2 hour = x4
- then 1 hour = x1
- then 1/2 hour = x4
- The last 1/2 hour will be used for debriefing
- General
- Face to face sessions can be organised at Regus offices in Diegem
- Prefered communications = Skype + Yugma
Simulation elements
- Each side will get 1 Bde(+) of troops.
- Units can be selected/created by the participants
- Each side can establish 2 HQ's (1 Div and 1 Bde or 2 Bde)
- The CO of each side will set additional objectives for his side
- Both sides will use NATO command style
- Each side will need at least 4 players
- 2 for the Div or second Bde
- CO/G2/G3 and Unit Commander
- at least 2 for the main Bde - 4 = better
- CO, G2/G3 and 2 Unit Commanders
- More people can actively participate
Requirements
- You need an internet connected PC preferably with Firefox 3.0 or higher.
- Do note that Internet Explorer is currently NOT supported
- For the training session you need Skype and Yugma installed
Note
- During this test run NO combat will take place. This logic is still under development.
- Constructive feedback is expected from all participants.
